USD-base: conversion = 1 ÷ rate (USD/JPY at 150: 100,000 × 0.01 ÷ 150 = $6.67). Cross: conversion = quote-to-USD rate (EUR/GBP with GBP/USD 1.27: 100,000 × 0.0001 × 1.27 = $12.70). ## Frequently asked questions ### How much is one pip worth? For pairs quoted in USD, one pip on one standard lot (100,000 units) is worth $10, one mini lot $1 and one micro lot $0.10. For other pairs the value depends on the exchange rate, which is exactly what this calculator converts for you. ### Why do JPY pairs use a pip size of 0.01? Yen pairs are quoted with two decimals instead of four, so the pip is the second decimal (0.01). On USD/JPY at 150, one pip on a standard lot is 100,000 × 0.01 ÷ 150 ≈ $6.67. ### Does this calculator use live exchange rates? No — by design.
